January Club Meeting

January meeting rescheduled to January 25th.  We hope you can join us!!!

 

We’re starting the new year off by holding our meeting at the new Perfect Ash shop in Inver Grove Heights.

Meeting Agenda Items

  1.  A reminder that club dues of $30 are due for 2020. Please plan to renew.
  2. We will discuss Pipe of the Year ideas.  We are considering a pipe by RC Sands, a quarter bent saddle dublin shape.
  3. Spring Pipe Swap discussion.

December Club Meeting

December 4, 2019

Join us for a special Holiday Gathering to celebrate a great year with the Pipe Club.

  • B.Y.O.B (includes any alcoholic beverages) to enjoy and/or share (bring your own ice if needed).

  • Food will be provided (by the club and “pot luck” items are welcome). We will arrange for plates, cups, plastic forks, etc.

August 2019 Meeting

A note from Mark Barsness:

Last month’s meeting was great. Good turnout, Wally brought some amazing giant pipes (and that was less than half of his collection), and then all that very old and extremely rare, delicious tobacco from Fernando.  Wow !For the August meeting, it has been suggested that, after seeing Wally’s Italian pipes by Ardor and Moretti, that we do another Italian pipe maker meeting. Mark has offered to bring in ‘his’ ABC’S of Italian pipes: Ascorti, Becker, Castello, and Ser Jacopo.  If you own any of these pipe brands please bring them along too and be prepared to join in a round table discussion about them. If you have no ABC’S, bring some of your other Italian brands.

Dates and show times for “Father of the Flame” will be discussed.

Ideas for topics and pipe brands for September’s meeting will be entertained.

As usual, please bring some tobacco to share – although it may be difficult to top last month’s selection!

2019 Pipe of the Year: Ordering Information

September 3, 2018

We are anxious to announce that Tim West will be carving our 2019 Pipe of the Year. The style will be a Paneled Pickaxe shape with choice of 2 finishes.   The sandblast finish will cost $220, and the smooth will cost $260.

Pictured below is an example of the paneled pickaxe shape by Tim West, but may not be identical to the one he’s creating for us.  We’ll update the club if we get a new picture.
